Watervliet Boys Basketball

The Watervliet varsity boys basketball team hosted Bridgman on Friday, Feb. 7 for a divisional conference game, hoping to provide their largest crowd of the season, with a memorable evening, but they fell in this one, 55-42.

The Panthers (7-11, 2-6) hung around with the Bees throughout the night, leading periodically, but were never able to sustain momentum when in front. Bridgman led after the first quarter, 12-11, before adding a point to their lead in the second quarter, pulling ahead at the half, 21-19. The third quarter saw the Bees continue their positive vibes, as they took a 36-28 lead into the fourth quarter, where they grabbed the scoreboard edge, 19-14, to pull out the win.
