Watervliet boys basketball team ends 2024 with victory

 Last week, the Watervliet Panther varsity boys basketball team continued their regular season journey, participating in a holiday tournament, during the weekly stretch. The men were attempting to finish the calendar year strong, and bounce back from a winless week, with a win.

 Their lone game of the week also saw the team travel to Bangor on Friday, Dec. 27 to participate in the Bangor Holiday Shootout. Playing in a contest against Eau Claire, the Panthers were looking to snap their recent two-game losing skid in this battle of two teams with losing records. The Beavers had scuffled out of the gate, starting 1-4, with their lone victory coming against Benton Harbor

Countryside Academy, a squad that is currently winless. With the more talented roster, this was a winnable game for Watervliet; which they would take advantage of when they took home the win, 54-38.
