Panther Football falls to Comets
The Panther varsity football team opened the 2024 season at Coloma with a wild and high-scoring first quarter, but taking a 34-28 loss to the Comets. The two teams last met on this field in 2020, when the Comets won 24-16 in a slow, grinding game - but not this time.
Panther Carson Underwood caught the opening kickoff at his own 18 yard line and zigzagged the ball through some tackles and all the way for a touchdown. Coloma promptly scored on their first possession with a run by Zacorius Tanner to tie the game at 6-6. The Panthers were stopped and punted, and the powerful Coloma ground game scored again to take a 12-6 lead.
