Ayvah enjoyed hiking in Hawaii. She has played soccer for six years and hopes to go to college to play softball or volleyball.
The Sixth Grade Team chose Ayvah because she is conscientious and hardworking. She is always willing to help others and is a good role model.
7th Grade: Miranda Lowell
The Seventh Grade January Student of the Month is Miranda Lowell. Miranda is the daughter of Kylee and Ben Lowell. She has two older sisters, Morgan and Marissa.
Miranda’s favorite class is Physical Education because she loves sports and being active. She also loves competing against others and hates losing. Mr. Bradford says, “Miranda goes 110% on anything we do from written tests, cardio workouts and all of our activities. She is an awesome listener and leader in PE class.”
Miranda participates in cross country, basketball, and track. She is also a member of the Honor Club. On Wednesday mornings she attends a Christian group that is run by her sister.
Outside of school, Miranda loves her chickens, ducks, and animals at home. She pays for feed, collects eggs from the chicken coop, washes them, and then sells them. She likes to work with her dad on just about anything. She also likes hunting, fishing, ice fishing, swimming, and playing sports. In the future, she would like to travel to Tennessee and Carolina because “they seem awesome and I’ve heard them in country songs that I listen to daily.”
Miranda’s friends say she deserves Student of the Month because she is a good friend who always supports their interests, is always positive, and lifts her friends’ spirits when they are having a bad day. The 7th Grade teachers see Miranda as a leader. She is a responsible, conscientious student who always shows up to class with a smile, a positive attitude, and a willingness to help others.
8th Grade: Ryan Meija & Patricia Sipe
Ryan Meija has been chosen by his 8th Grade teachers as student of the month because as one teacher said, “He works hard and likes to have a good time in class. He laughs and can make class fun, but he knows when to get down to work.” The 8th Grade teachers appreciate this about Ryan because he is always putting his best foot forward by participating in class, volunteering and working hard, and he does all of this with a smile on his face.
Outside of school Ryan likes to play video games and watch anime. He also enjoys playing football and soccer.
In school, Ryan’s favorite subjects are social studies and science. He enjoys these subjects because they can be fun and interesting to him.
Patricia Sipe has been chosen as one of the 8th Grade students of the month for January because of how much she has grown as an 8th grader. Patti has developed a strong work ethic and dedication to her classes. She has become involved in multiple after school activities including Science Olympiad and helping with concessions during sporting events. In Science Olympiad she is working to build a trebuchet for the big competition in March.
In school she has also been focusing on her studies and has improved her NWEA scores dramatically. She enjoys her science and history classes because of the activities and things they do in class.
Outside of school Patti enjoys spending time with her friends and hanging out with family. She enjoys playing soccer during soccer seasons and roller skating.
