Sponsored by the Watervliet Business Association, the annual Independence Weekend Celebration fundraiser Duck Race was held in Mill Creek at Flaherty Park on Sunday, July 7, 2024. Nearly 1,300 yellow plastic ducks were deposited into the creek and floated to the shoot for the following winners:
