RAYMOND S. ASHCRAFT

Raymond Scott Ashcraft, formerly of Watervliet, passed away suddenly on July 7, 2023 in Ahoskie, NC, at the age of 59. He was a graduate of Watervliet High School and loved rock music as well as riding his Harley. Most recently he had enjoyed over the road trucking and traveled throughout the United States in his own semi.

Surviving in addition to his wife Charlotte and son, Joshua Ashcraft is his sister Traci Ashcraft-Sadler of Phoenix, AZ, who has fond childhood memories of Ray playing ice hockey on the pond, riding snowmobiles and playing pool together. Ray was a great brother growing up and had an infectious laugh especially when watching his favorite comedy movies. He had many friends and would always make new ones wherever he went since he was such a “talker”!

Ray is also survived by a niece, Candace Marie Ashcraft and great-nephews, Dillon and Derek, another niece, Amanda (Steve) Tyrol and great-nephews, Stephen and Joey Tyrol of Arizona, as well as a third niece, Hailey Gutierrez, also of Arizona.

Ray was preceded in death by his mother Marianne in 2000, his father Treman Ashcraft in 2010, an uncle, Frank Nunziato in 2014 and his brother, Joseph Ashcraft in 1986.

Ray most recently lived in Paragould, AR and is buried there in Linwood Cemetery.
