NICHOLAS R. STEVENS

Writer's picture: Tri-City RecordTri-City Record

In loving memory of Nicholas Robert Stevens who left this earthly life on Aug. 1, 2023.

A private service was held at Duffield and Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Cremation has taken place.

Nicholas was born July 21, 1988 to Cheryl and Rick Stevens in St. Joseph, MI.

Nicholas leaves behind his proud family; mother, Cheryl Raucci; father and stepmother, Rick and Nancy Stevens; brother, Dylan Raucci; stepfather, Willy Raucci; and his companion, rescue cat Pepper.

Nick attended Watervliet Public Schools through tenth grade and graduated in 2007 from East Lincoln High School in Denver, North Carolina.

Upon graduation Nick received honors for perfect attendance K-12th, an honor that was a huge source of pride to his mom. That same perfectionist self-motivation carried on through his adult life with his impeccable work ethic, be it professional or personal, always showing up unselfishly for his responsibilities or the people he loved, asking or expecting nothing in return.

Nick had an uncanny ability to add his incredible sense of humor to any situation. His ability to make anyone laugh was a true gift and will be surely missed by all that knew him.

Nicholas began his assiduous disciplined work career at 15 for Lindy Arnt at Rookies in Watervliet. Then onto his lifelong profession in retail, specifically grocery. Starting out as a bagger and working his way up to a district manager.

Nick was an avid Notre Dame and White Sox fan, and also had a love of music and attending concerts. Nick had many tattoos that carried special meanings to him. You would often find him passionately working on his home, throwing back cold Miller Lites or spoiling his beloved cat.

Nicholas was a Michigan Gift of Life Donor. This donation alone has the potential to heal up to 125 people. In giving to others his legacy in death mimics the life he lived.

Proceeding Nick in passing were his beloved maternal grandma Jean Head and paternal grandfather Jerry Stevens. His childhood companion and cousin, Jason Phillips and Jason’s daughter Zoe Phillips; also, his first beloved cat Mr. Brown and bonus grandpa, Pete Wren.

Rest easy Nick. In this imperfect world you are and will always be perfect to us and missed beyond measure. May your sweet, handsome soul be at peace until we are together again my love.
