New commissioners sworn in; motions made for water treatment project, utility bill changes

Coloma students to attend council meetings


Three Coloma residents were sworn in as City Commissioners during a regular Coloma City Council meeting on Nov. 11, 2024 at Coloma City Hall. Those in the running for the four-year position included current Coloma City Commissioners Jamie Balkin, Julie Smith, and Coloma city residents, Cynthia Massey and Karen Williams. There were also 12 write-in candidates. Massey became the newest addition to the Coloma City Commissioners with 375 votes while commissioners Balkin and Smith reclaimed their seats. Commissioner Balkin received 374 votes, Commissioner Smith received 356, and Williams received 310.
