Nature Notebook

A peaceful bird-watching session at the birdfeeders on my back porch in the early evening hours turned very exciting when one deadly songbird approached. All of a sudden, the chickadees, tufted titmice, fox sparrows, and cardinals gathering their last sunflower seeds all quickly disappeared.
