The winter invasion is beginning. Some insects overwinter as adults in protected places, and as far as they are concerned human homes are ideal locations. Box-elder bugs are the most easily observed of the insect boarders. Their size along with their black and red chevron markings set them apart from the ladybugs that also congregate on windows on sunny fall days.
