NATIONAL ALL STATE… Kaylee Bartee, 8th grade, and Raeghan Prestidge, 7th grade, both are Watervliet students and play for the Lakeshore Pirates travel teams. Kaylee in 14U and Rae in 12U each got nominated to play in the All State Games in Canton, MI in August 2023. From playing there, they got invited to play in the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) inaugural National All State Championship, held from Dec. 28 - 31, 2023 at the Space Coast Complex in Melbourne, Florida.
Kaylee was a utility player and made an amazing play, throwing a girl out at home from right field. She was on the 14U leader board for doubles.
Rae was a starting catcher on her team and was on the 12U leader board for batting average, RBIs, hits, and triples. She had a triple over left field that scored three runs ending a game.
These young ladies were two of about 700 girls from around the country representing their states.
