MAURENNA L. RICKERS

 Maurenna Lynn (Miller) Rickers, 54, from Hasting, MI, a Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister, who was formally from Watervliet, MI, passed away unexpectedly March 24, 2025 with her family by her side.

 She was born Sept. 1, 1970 to Paget (Miller) Whitney and Michael Martin Miller in St. Joseph, MI.

 Maurenna was a graduate of Watervliet High School, Class of 1989. During her school years in wood shop she created wonderful pieces of furniture, which her mother still has. As a child and into her adult years she loved horses. As a child she would wake at the crack of dawn to tend to the neighbor’s horses, day and night.

 Maurenna taught 4-H classes and participated in the BCYF for many years. In her spare time, she loved to read, garden, bake, and do photography. She did many pictures of her dog Shadow, flowers, and nature that will remind us of her forever.

 Survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, Ronald W. Rickers, their union created three beautiful children, daughters Vanessa Hubbard of Kalamazoo and Monica Rickers of Benton Harbor and son Raymond Rickers (SanTanna and Jayme) Rickers of Hartford; sisters-in-law, Charlotte (Tim) Hunt of Indiana and Pamela LaVanway of Benton Harbor, and son-in-law Michael Rickers Jr. of Grand Junction; mother, Paget (William) Whitney of Watervliet, sister Brandilyn Ramseyer of Dowagiac and special sister and brother Suzanne Davis and Steven Adair; nieces Erin and Amber Hunt (Indiana), Bethann McNutt (Grand Junction), Jessie Parent (Coloma) and Jenny Staggs (Hartford), Krystal MacMillan (Coloma) and Sharon Rickers (Hartford), Kaitlyn (Matthew) Kovacevich (Texas), Kylee, Kenzie and Kennady Warren (Watervliet); nephews Eric Parent (Benton Harbor) and Michael Rickers (Hartford), Kevin (Aylssa) Miller (Coloma), Matthew (Destinee) Miller of Dowagiac, along with a host of many cousins in Michigan and Ohio; grandchildren Jeremiah and Oliva Rickers, children of Raymond, SanTanna and Jayme Rickers, Isaac and Avianna, children of Monica Rickers.

 Maurenna was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Lyle and Dorothy Rau (Benton Harbor), paternal mother-in-law Donna Rickers (Coloma), Papa to all - Jack Adair, sister Shonda (Warren) Slater (Hasting); her uncle Kenneth Rau (Benton Harbor); brothers-in-law Forrest (JR) Ramseyer, Dennis Rickers (Hartford), Richard Rickers (Bangor) and John Hubbard (Hartford).

 The family is assisted by Purely Cremations of Benton Harbor, and the outstanding doctor and nursing care, ICU at Butterworth Hospital (Corewell) Grand Rapids, MI.

 Services for Maurenna will be held at a later date.
