Mary Weir’s life began March 8, 1933, in St. Joseph, Michigan. Mary was a proud lifelong resident of Southwest Michigan. She graduated Watervliet High School in 1950. After high school Mary went on to become a dedicated employee at Jewel Foods and also worked 20 years at Voice of Music (VM). Mary loved music. She sang in the choir, played the trombone and piano. She shared her love of music with her family and friends, even encouraging and hosting her sons’ band practices in her basement. To Mary, her family was everything. She was a loving and dedicated mother to her five children. Nana adored her 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and was excited for the soon arrival of her two great-great-grandkids.
Mary is survived by four children and her son-in-law: Gregory (Paula) Weir, John Weir, Michael Weir, David (Anna) Weir, and Mike Rogers. She is also survived by her beloved brother Roman Zehner, and several nieces and nephews.
