MARIA L. BITTNER

Maria Lynn Bittner, 54 of Coloma, passed away Dec. 31, 2022 of natural causes.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023 at Hartford United Methodist Church, 425 East Main at 2 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. An online guestbook is available at www.duffieldpastrick.com.

Maria was born March 25, 1968 in Watervliet. She is the daughter of the late Lyn Rowe and Sandra (Richard) Drumm.

On May 18, 2006, she married Brock Bittner of Coloma. Brock and Maria often spent evenings sitting outside at home enjoying the sunsets, which Maria often said was like being in heaven. She loved landscaping and her roses, getting together with friends, cruising Paw Paw Lake on the family’s pontoon boat, country music, karaoke and her cats Rocky and Balboa. Maria came into the lives of Brock and his sons, Brennan and Connor, at a time when they all needed her most, creating a beautiful blended family with her own sons, Cody and Kevin. She loved her grandchildren dearly, and for many years she ran a day care in Watervliet. She also worked at Harding’s Pharmacy in Coloma and the Watervliet Post Office.

Maria is survived by her husband Brock; parents Sandra and Richard Drumm; sons Cody (Autumn) and Kevin Kendzior; stepsons Brennan and Connor Bittner; grandson Lucas Kendzior; step-grandchildren Mia McLaughlin and Bannon Bittner; siblings Perry (Tina) Rowe and Amber (Juan) Fillmore; nieces Ariana and Marisa Rowe and Aliza Morlock; nephews Perry Rowe and Owen Tackitt; and her best friend Natalie Labis.

Maria will be remembered as a kind, devoted, unselfish friend, daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. God has taken back His angel. Perhaps He will use her beautiful spirit again to bring peace and happiness to someone else’s life.
