BE GLAD… The annual Coloma Glad Peach Festival is back. After taking a 2- year break due to COVID-19 the weekend festival is now planned for August 6 & 7. Despite not having the festival the last two years the City of Coloma along with Mayor Marsha Hammond deemed 2021 “Summer Not Forgotten” and did a commendable job planning events in lieu of the popular festival’s cancellation. This festival typically held the first weekend in August dates back to 1967 when official committees were formed, is an annual celebration of the gladiolus flowers and peaches which are both grown locally.
