Karen J. Demis, 63, of Coloma, passed away on Dec. 14, 2022 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.

Karen was born Jan. 17, 1959 in Benton Harbor to Edward and Ann (Handzel) Kafka. She graduated from Coloma High School and was the owner of Easy Street Inn for 26 years. Karen was creative and loved doing crafts, cooking and spending time with her family.
Karen is survived by her husband John, whom she married June 13, 1981; daughter Amanda (Arthur) Moore of Watervliet, sister Roseann (Scott) Clements of Coloma, granddaughter Katelynn Kostrzewa, and several other family members and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Nancy Kafka.
