JUDITH A. HILL

Judith Ann (Judy) (Louzensky) Hill left for her heavenly home Sept. 15, 2023. She is the daughter to the late Lillian and Frank Louzensky. She was born in Chicago on Oct. 22, 1942.

Judy grew up in Coloma, Michigan and attended Michigan State University. She met Raymond Hill and they were married Aug. 25, 1963. They moved to North Carolina, eventually returning to Coloma and in 1978 moved to Cadillac, MI where they continue to reside.

They had three children, Denise (Jack) Clark of Stevensville, MI and their children Johnathan, David and Joshua Clark; Julie (Kris) Moore of Jackson, MI and their children Erin Moore and fiancé Keith Szymczyk, Jason (Shelbie) Moore, and Ben Moore; Jean (Dennis) Foss of Lake City. Judy has lots of nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

Preceding her passing are her parents, daughter Jean, sisters Marcella Louzensky, Virginia Healy, Laverne (Lovey) Lenz, and brother Frank Lowe.

In the past Judy was a teacher’s assistant at Washington School in Coloma. She was in Civil Air Patrol as a cadet in Benton Harbor. Judy also worked at Industrial Specialties and O’Neil Office Products as a bookkeeper. She was last employed at Haring Township Hall as Deputy Clerk/ receptionist/ utility clerk, for 11 years.

In her spare time she taught piano lessons in her home, assisted in bookkeeping at Bingo night at St. Ann’s and the Cadillac school. She was active in the garden club. She doted on her grandchildren and enjoyed reading books. She was active in her Catholic faith and reading the Bible with and to others.

Judy will be remembered for being gentle, loving and kind spirited.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Cadillac with Reverend Fr. Michael Janowski as celebrant. Burial will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cadillac. Visitation will be Wednesday at Peterson Funeral & Cremation Services in Cadillac from 5-7 p.m. with the Rosary being prayed at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday at Church from 10-11 a.m. with Mass starting at 11 a.m.
