Our precious mother, Iona Jones Nalitt, 89 of Coloma, gained her heavenly wings on July 10, 2024.
Iona was born July 7, 1935 in Rhos, Wales to Evan and Wynn (Davis) Jones. She retired from VM Corporation in Benton Harbor and loved going to the beach and Red Lobster. She also loved her family’s dogs Oreo, Gabby and Jasmine. Iona loved spending time with her family and was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. We were all blessed by her greatness.
Iona was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Raymond Nalitt; her parents Evan and Wynn Jones; a brother Glyn Jones; a sister Myra Dodd and her daughter Shirley Elston.
She is survived by her son David (Gail) Nalitt from Arcadia, LA; daughters Susan (Rick) Stevens and Cathy (John) Scott from Benton Harbor and Vikki Wilkins from Coloma; and a close friend of 53 years, Dail Kuhens and his family. Iona was also blessed with nine grandchildren, Crystal, Sonya, David Jr., Shawna, Kenny, Dakota, Joshua, Tyler and Brady; and nine great-grandchildren Zayne, Kisstenna, Kayle, Carter, Cooper, Ellie, Charlotte, Scarlett and Caroline.
A memorial service to honor our mother will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2024 at New Life Christian Center, 6674 Paw Paw Avenue in Coloma. Those wishing to leave an online message for the family may do so at www.duffieldpastrick.com. Those wishing to send flowers in memory of Iona may send them to the church on the day of the service.
