Writer's picture: Angela WiddisAngela Widdis

The Hartford Public Schools Board of Education heard from the new principal for the high school at Monday’s school board Work Study meeting, where Abel Robles was present to thank the board for the opportunity to serve the district in this new capacity. Robles takes on the role of high school principal after the former principal, Nick Blackmer, was chosen as the district’s superintendent.

Robles has been with the district for 20 years and has served as a Spanish teacher, assistant principal, and athletic director during that time. He also has experience coaching JV baseball, middle school basketball, middle school football, JV boys soccer, and varsity girls soccer.
