Football trounces Brandywine

Last week, the Hartford Husky varsity football team made their anticipated return to the highest level, for the first time since October of 2021, as they hosted a non-conference showdown to begin their season.

In their season opening game, which saw the team host Niles Brandywine on Thursday, Aug. 29, the Huskies were looking to take down the Bobcats, in just the third reported meeting between the two schools since historical records started being kept in 1950, and the first meeting in nearly sixty years. For reference, in the two previous meetings (1964 and 1965), Hartford was victorious in a pair of 20-0 shutouts.
