FLORENCE L. LAUCK

 Florence L. Lauck 86, of Hartford, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024 surrounded by all of her daughters.

Florence was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Charles and Laura Crawford. She was the oldest of six children. She graduated from McKinley High School in Ohio and later met her husband John on a blind date. She and John raised their family in Stevensville and later moved to Hartford to retire. Florence managed several restaurants in the area and was a former member of the Lakeshore Jaycees, the auxiliary at Corewell Health, Watervliet, and was a member of Hartford United Methodist Church. She also loved to craft, participated in many craft shows and shared her talents with others, giving away many of her afghans that she crocheted.

 Florence is survived by three daughters, Pam (Bob) Rutherford, Vikki (Jeff) Guthrie, and Laura (Butch) Olmstead. Also surviving are her five grandchildren, Rob, Cary, Drew, Racheal, and William, 11 great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog Peaches.

 She was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, her siblings Cary, Janice, David, James, and Melody, and her grandson John.

 A Celebration of Life Service was held Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, St. Joseph. Burial followed at Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville. Memorials can be made to Hartford United Methodist Church, Salvation Army Citadel Corps in Columbus, Ohio, or Caring Circle of Spectrum Health Lakeland.  The family would like to thank Florence’s entire hospice team from Caring Circle of Spectrum Health Lakeland for all of their compassion, support, and kindness they provided to Florence and her family.
