EDNA SINK

Edna Sink, 84, of Millburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville following a short illness, with her loving family by her side.

Edna was born on Oct. 14, 1940 in Oneida, Kentucky. On Oct. 9, 1963 she married the love of her life, Dean “Hap” Sink. Together they spent 51 years with one another and were blessed with three children. She later became a very proud grandma to four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She dedicated 20 plus years of service to Avion Coach and nearly 10 years to Greg Orchards and Produce.

Edna was a person who loved to take care of others. Her siblings fondly referred to her as the “mother hen”. She cherished the trips she was able to make a couple times per year to visit her family in Ohio and Kentucky and always considered Kentucky her “home”. Her greatest love, by far, was her family. She found such joy in spending time with family and friends and always looked forward to the next gathering where she would get to see everyone. Edna was a Christian who loved to talk about Jesus and enjoyed attending services at the little church in Millburg. She also enjoyed attending and helping out at the annual Chief’s Bar Hospice golf outing, spending a Thursday or Friday night at Chief’s Bar visiting with friends and playing Keno, and sitting in her chair at home scratching lottery tickets. She was famously known for her fudge, jalapeno poppers, and of course her big contagious smile. Every person in the world, to her, was just a friend she hadn’t met yet.

Edna is survived by two daughters, Donna (John) Andrasi of Benton Harbor and Victoria Sink (Johnny Johnson) of Benton Harbor; one son, Michael (Susan) Sink of Riverside; grandchildren, Kassie (David) Prisk of Coloma, Aaron (Ellen) Andrasi of Plainwell, Matthew Andrasi (Re DuVernay) of Kalamazoo and Kaitlyn Eichler of Riverside; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kylie and Kayden Prisk of Coloma and Wyatt and Emma Eichler of Riverside. Also surviving is one sister, Cleo Griffith; and three brothers, Herbert Clark, Hubert Clark and Willie Clark.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Hap Sink; parents, Ballard and Esther Clark; sisters, Ann Yates and Karen Davidson; and an infant brother.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 17 from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Hanson Hospice Center. Those wishing to leave an online message for the family may do so at www.duffieldpastrick.com.
