Donald’s life began Aug. 21, 1950, in Kennett, Missouri. As a young man his family moved and made their home in Southwest Michigan.

Donald worked for DeGroot for a while driving tractor. While working for them he would find arrow heads which turned into a favorite collection of his. Donald worked for Brinks in South Bend driving truck for 10 years up to retirement. Donald loved music and enjoyed sharing his gift, singing and playing rhythm guitar in a band for several years. When he wasn’t working or sharing his gift of music you could find Donald hunting, fishing, and helping people.

Donald loved his family who he leaves behind to cherish his memory including: his four children, Tammy Joyner, Trinity Patterson, Donald (Angela) Marsh- Peek, and Jeannie (Alan) Lowrey; 10 grandchildren, Joseph (Misty) Peek, Cody Cantrell, Rikki Peek, Dylan Joyner, Tia Lyn (Kevin) Musgrove, Payton Patterson, Lilian Marsh-Peek, Landon Marsh-Peek, Ethan Lowrey, and Colten Lowrey; nine great-grandchildren; his good friend and ex-wife Martha Peek; a brother, Everette (Debbie) Peek; two sisters, Chris Robbins and Linda Skaggs; four sisters-in-law, Brenda Petznick, Sandy Peek, Pam Peek, and Eloisie Peek; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donald died Friday, Aug. 11, 2023, at home.

His son Richard Peek, parents Laural and Lillie (Brewer) Peek, a son-in-law Thomas Joyner, and eight siblings precede Donald in death.

Donald’s life will be celebrated Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023 at 12 p.m. with visitation prior starting at 11 a.m. at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet. You are invited to leave a message of comfort for Donald’s family at hutchinsfuneral.com.
