DARLENE FRANCES (MCVAY) BERRY

 Darlene’s life began as a “leapling” on Feb. 29, 1948, in Watervliet, Michigan. She was a lifetime traveler spending time in Utah, Vermont, and finally making her home in Wesley Chapel, Florida. Darlene will be remembered for her love of animals, especially her dog, Bella.

 Darlene leaves behind her son, Perry Sarantopoulos, of Wesley Chapel, Florida; her daughter, Deb Sarantopoulos (Eugene DeVoid) of Newport, New Hampshire; a stepson, Bradley Berry of St. Joseph, Michigan; and her brother, Arnaz McVay, of Watervliet; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members.

 Darlene died Saturday, March 1, 2025, at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel in Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Dorothy (Barricklow) McVay; her husband, Donald “Nick” Berry; her oldest daughter, Theresa (Sarantopoulos) Mace; and her brother, Clinton “Boudy” McVay.

 A private ceremony to celebrate her life will be held for close family and friends at a later date.
