Cynthia “Cindy” Howard, 75, of Coloma, passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2024 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2024 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Corey Kugle officiating. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Donations in Cindy’s name may be made to Hanson Hospice Center or Lory’s Place. Cindy was born March 28, 1949 in Benton Harbor to Harold & Marian (Birr) Tober. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School, Class of 1967. On May 25, 1980, she married Randall “Randy” Howard in Benton Harbor. Cindy worked for several years at Auto Specialties in Benton Harbor before gaining employment as a bus driver for Lawrence Public Schools. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafts, baking and most of all, the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cindy is survived by two daughters, Mercedes (Jonathan Michael Barwick) Howard of Kinston, NC and Celeste (Jeremy) Durren of Eau Claire, MI; three grandchildren, Kayla, Leslie & Everett Durren; two sisters, Kathy (Larry) Pierquet of Algoma, WI and Leatha Snider of Tijuana, Baja, California, Mexico; sister-in-law Donna Tober; and a large extended family.
She was preceded by her parents; two brothers, David Tober and Kerry (Carol) Tober; brother-in-law Warren (Rose Anne) Howard; and her husband Randy on May 25, 2017.
