CURTIS M. BRYCE

Curt’s life began June 3, 1964, in Marlett, Michigan. He grew up in the Marlett area, and graduated from Brown City High school where he met the love of his life Kim Gorsline.

After high school Curt continued his education at Western Michigan University earning his bachelor’s degree. After college Curt and Kim married and moved to Chicago for his work. Wanting to come back to Michigan Curt then took a job with Whirlpool and made his home in Watervliet.

Curt and Kim were blessed with two children, Katelyn and Kevin, and Curt loved supporting them in all their endeavors. Outside of work Curt enjoyed anything that would keep him outdoors or busy such as woodworking, traveling, hiking, walking, and biking. He had a knack to be able to fix anything. Curt was a man always moving and looking for his next adventure. He was a man of a few words but his smile said it all.

Curt leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory including: his wife of 37 years, Kim; his two children, Katelyn (Ben) Eisen and Kevin Bryce; two grandchildren, Avery and Emmett Eisen; two siblings, Coleen (Mark) Johnston and Craig (Margie) Bryce; and several nieces and nephews.

Curt died Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Corewell Health Lakeland in St. Joseph surrounded by his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Laura (London) Bryce and a brother, Kevin Bryce.

A memorial service will be celebrated Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 2 p.m. with visitation prior starting at 1 p.m., at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet. Memorials may be made in Curt’s name to Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation. You are invited to leave a message of comfort for Curt’s family at hutchinsfuneral.com.
