Varsity football loses to Schoolcraft
Last week, the Coloma Comet varsity football team continued their regular season journey, as their fifth game of the year was on the docket. The team is going through a losing skid in recent weeks, dropping three straight contests. If they have playoff hopes, they’ll need to turn it around.
In their most recent game, at Schoolcraft, which was played on Friday, Sept. 27, the team was looking to put an end to their recent skid, against the host Eagles and ruin their Homecoming festivities, while getting their second win of the season and first divisional win of the campaign. The two teams had played just five times in recorded history (since 1950), but Coloma hasn’t seen much success in the series, as the Comets had won just one of those previous five meetings.
