BRUCE S. BLATCHFORD

 Bruce S. Blatchford, 79, of Coloma passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville. Cremation has taken place.

 A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma, where the family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service.  Bruce was born May 18, 1945 in Belvidere, IL to Clinton and Rebecca Mae (Sever) Blatchford. He retired from Cassens Transport after 32 years of service and was formerly employed by North Shore Memory Gardens as a groundskeeper. Bruce was also a member of the Coloma American Legion Post 362 and the North Berrien Military Rites Team. He really enjoyed heading to south Texas in the winter and truly just loved the company of family and friends.

 Bruce is survived by his wife Kathleen whom he married July 19, 1980 in Coloma, a daughter Janet (Bob) Blatchford of Rockford, IL, a brother Gary (Betty) Blatchford of Belvidere, IL, two grandchildren, Jonna and Joslynn Blatchford, and one great-grandson Justin Vangsness. Also surviving are four nieces and nephews, Chris (Sarah) Blatchford, Kelly (Rich) Lusz, Katie (Tony) DiNicola, and Kent (Danielle) Blatchford.

 In addition to his parents Bruce was preceded in death by his sons Samuel in 2009, Jeffrey in 2020, and his sister Rebecca Johnson.
