The rise and fall of Paw Paw Lake pavilions

Ice figured in the beginning and fire figured in the demise of many pavilions and resorts around Paw Paw Lake. Like most local historians, I was under the impression that Woodward’s was the oldest pavilion, but my summer research reveals that was only partially true.
