BETTY J. ROCKWELL

Betty Jean Rockwell, 100, of Orlando, Florida, and formerly of Coloma, died Sunday, June 18, 2023 in Ovieda, FL at the Memory Lane Cottage.

Services celebrating her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Coloma. The visitation will begin at noon of Thursday at the Davidson Chapel. Burial will follow in the Coloma Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Orlando Youth Aviation Center. Betty was born June 24, 1922 in Coloma to Dewey and Anna Harris. She married her husband, Edward, in 1942 and together they celebrated 74 years of marriage until his death in 2016. She was the co-owner with her husband of several businesses during her life, including the Seaplane Flight School on Hudson, the Rockwell Vending Service, both in NY and the Lawn Service in Orlando, FL. She was a member of the National EAA Chapter 474.

Betty is survived by her son, Dale E. Rockwell, from Orlando, FL; a brother-in-law, Duane Rockwell, of Coloma; her two grandchildren, Dale S. (Mercedes) Rockwell of New Mexico, and Danielle (Pat) Rossillo of Florida, and her four great-grandchildren, Shayna, Matt, Jade and Paige.
