Berrien RESA’s Parents as Teachers Program and the community libraries of Berrien County are hosting “Read Around the County,” an early childhood reading event. Children up to 5 years of age along with their parents/caregivers will have the opportunity to enjoy a free literacy activity intended to develop an early love for reading. The event is planned for Thursday, Sept. 19 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Lake Bluff Park, St. Joseph (across from the Maud Preston Palenske Memorial Library).
